Molegro - Bioinformatics Solutions

Dear Reader,

In this newsletter you can read about the latest releases of Molegro Virtual Docker and Molegro Data Modeller.

We are currently working on some exciting new features for MVD 4.0, which will be released later this year. So if you have any wishes or feature requests for the upcoming version, please use the feedback form at the bottom of this newsletter.

Molegro Virtual Docker 3.2

Molegro Virtual Docker, version 3.2, was released May 7th, 2009.

Molecule Depictions #1 Molecule Depictions #2

The release introduced several minor improvements and a few new features:

  • Docking post-processing: it is now possible to perform energy minimization and optimize protein/ligand hydrogen bonds after docking.
  • The Data Analyzer in MVD has been updated with a new chemistry module. The Data Analyzer is now able to show 2D depictions of molecules and docking results. Molecules may be depicted inside the spreadsheet cells or in a separate grid window. It is also possible to visualize the molecules directly in the 2D plotter and optionally cluster overlapping molecules.
  • Ligand Energy Inspector has been improved with new options and more detailed energy overview.
  • Cavities can now be merged and it is possible to restrict cavity detection to a specific region of the protein.
  • More than 50 other improvements and bug fixes.

If you haven't done it already, be sure to upgrade to the latest version of Molegro Virtual Docker (requires login) or request a trial.

Molegro Data Modeller 2.1

Released on March 6th 2009, Molegro Data Modeller 2.1 provides stability fixes and a few new features: It is now possible to reorder columns and the column insertion dialog has been improved. A new dialog makes it possible to create subsets from a selection of columns in addition to new options for pruning highly correlated or near-constant columns.
