Ligand Maps 2D
Ligand Maps, a new feature in MVD 5.0, makes it possible to depict molecules in 2D and 3D at the same time.
Working with molecules in 2D makes it easier to perform selections, and to inspect and change atomic properties (selections are synchronized between the 2D and 3D view).
Since Ligand Maps integrates with the Ligand Energy Inspector, it is easy to identify and visualize the interactions between the ligand and the protein receptor.
It is possible to inspect and toggle different types of interactions, and by using the Interaction Overlay the strength of each individual atom's contribution to the binding energy can be visualized.
